duzine.com's WordScore Game Included in BlackBerry App World Initial Launch
New Paltz, NY (PRWEB) April 3, 2009 -- duzine.com, an award-winning mobile software company and boutique consulting firm, today announced their support and participation in the BlackBerry App World(TM) launch.
"We are very pleased that RIM chose our application for the initial launch. We've been working with them since they first announced App World, but really didn't know until a couple of days ago if we would make the cut," said Mark Desmery, founder, duzine.com.
WordScore was a finalist in the 2007 MOTODEV Game Developer challenge and spread virally from a few beta-testers to dozens of rabid users. "We gave it away to friends and family during the initial development back in 2006 and sort of forgot about it until the middle of 2008. Around that time we started shutting the servers down to cut costs and suddenly got emails from dozens of people we didn't even know. That's when we realized we had a hit," said Desmery.
WordScore is available for $4.99 on Handango, Mobihand, and Research in Motion's BlackBerry AppWorld. A version for Nokia's upcoming OVI store is in the works and other mobile titles are planned.

Mobile City Players Go Global
Until recently, the term “mobile city players” would more than likely bring to mind people who travel from city to city playing tournaments of some sort. But in truth, mobile city players can play any game they choose, at any time and with anyone in the world using just their cell phone!
